Biner is committed to personal privacy and data protection, adhering to the new data protection law, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which came into effect on May 25, 2018.
For Biner, it is important that you, as a customer, employee, or candidate for potential recruitment, feel secure in how we handle your personal data and that we ensure data protection for personal information.
Personal data is any kind of information that can be traced to a living physical person. For example, images and sound recordings processed in a computer can be personal data even if no names are mentioned. Encrypted data and various types of electronic identities (e.g., IP numbers) are personal data if they can be linked to physical persons.
We collect and process your personal data based on the following legal grounds: consent (for marketing emails and cookies), contractual obligations (to deliver purchased services), legal requirements (for accounting and tax purposes), and our legitimate interest (for customer service and to improve our services).
Biner processes a range of personal data, which is a natural consequence of the nature of our business. The processing of personal data occurs in connection with us selling consulting services, selling training, recruiting personnel, and managing our network. This information aims to describe how we process personal data in connection with this.
All Biner employees have received basic training on the rules for handling personal data and are continuously trained in changed processes and routines regarding daily work. Data processing agreements are established with all partners who in any way process personal data on behalf of Biner. We use password-protected IT systems for storing personal data. In cases where physical documents are required, they are stored in safes with code locks. All registers are located in Sweden. Only those persons who actually need to process your personal data to manage our business have access to them.
In the event of a potential data breach, we will immediately take all necessary measures to minimize the damage and will notify the affected parties and relevant authorities in accordance with the requirements of GDPR.
We may share your personal data with trusted third parties, such as IT suppliers and marketing partners. All such third parties are obliged to maintain the security of your data and to use it only to provide services to us.
We collect and store the information you provide to us, via, for example, forms, personal meetings, email, telephone calls, or similar. We also store information about any purchase history. Through our website, we also collect data to produce anonymized statistics about the behavior of our visitors, so that we can improve the user experience on our website. This is done via so-called "cookies". Our website uses cookies to improve the user experience. You can control the use of cookies through your web browser settings. For you who purchase our consulting services
Privacy Policy For you who purchase our consulting services #
Here we describe the parts of our privacy policy that are specific to you who purchase our consulting services.
What personal data do we save?
If we initiate a business relationship where we offer consulting services to your company, we will need to save certain personal data, such as:
- your name, email address, phone number, title/role, and department (as a contact person)
- your company and its organization number purchased consulting services (purchase history)
- any feedback you provide afterward about our services
- If relevant to our collaboration, we may also save images, sound recordings, and videos.
Why do we collect our customers' personal data?
We save personal data primarily to communicate with you as a customer and maintain good customer service, to manage your purchases of services, and to fulfill legal requirements, such as accounting.
For marketing purposes, we also want to be able to inform you about our products and services via, for example, SMS, email, newsletters, social media, phone, or letter. When you subscribe to our newsletter or other marketing communications, you give us your consent to send you these messages. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking 'unsubscribe' in any of our email messages.
How long do we keep your personal data?
Our routine is to delete everything as soon as it is no longer relevant to our business relationship, even if you have not requested it, unless laws and authorities require us to store it for a specific period. However, we do not wish to end our relationship with you even if you are not currently purchasing any consulting services from us, if we believe that we may collaborate again in the future. Therefore, we prefer to keep you as a contact and your company's purchase history in our customer register even after a consulting assignment has ended, and we only delete your information if you ask us to or if we ourselves consider it irrelevant for the future to retain them. However, some personal data are required by law to be stored for a certain period, for example, accounting laws.
You can request at any time to receive an excerpt of all your personal data, and you can request at any time to have them deleted. In such cases, please contact our data protection officer, who can be reached at dataskydd@biner.se.

Privacy Policy
For those involved in a recruitment process #
Here we describe the parts of our privacy policy that are specific to you if you are or have been involved in a recruitment process with us.
What personal data do we store?
If you participate in a recruitment process with us, we will need to save certain personal data, such as:
• your name, email address, phone number, place of residence
• your current role/title and possibly the company you are employed by
• your job application submitted to us (usually a cover letter and CV)
• any other personal data you make available through, for example, LinkedIn
• any summary provided by the psychologist, if such an assessment has taken place
• contact details for your personal references (their name, title, workplace, work relationship with you)
• any assessments from your personal references
• our recruiter's assessment
Why do we collect your personal data?
We store personal data from you as a potential recruit primarily to communicate with you during the recruitment process and to decide if we want to proceed to a possible employment process with you.
For marketing purposes, to spread interest in Biner as an attractive workplace, we often also want to be able to continue storing your personal data, even if you are not actively participating in a recruitment process at the moment, but we still see you as an interesting candidate for the future. You can choose to unsubscribe from our newsletters or other types of marketing at any time.
How long do we keep your personal data?
Our routine is to delete everything as soon as it is no longer relevant to the recruitment process, even if you have not requested it. Normally, we delete or anonymize your contact details immediately after the recruitment process has ended, or about a year after passive contact. In cases where we decide to proceed with a recruitment, i.e., we hire you, we will continue to store the information we collected during the recruitment process.
Biner places great emphasis on personality and values getting the right balance of personalities among its employees to become a successful company and an attractive workplace. In most cases of consultant recruitment, we hire a licensed psychologist in the final stages of the process. The purpose of this is to try to determine from a behavioral science perspective whether you, Biner, and the role we can offer you are suitable for each other. The psychologist is responsible for all personal data processed during this part of the process. After your meeting, the psychologist compiles and submits a report to Biner. Biner stores the report until the recruitment process is completed and then destroys it, unless we agree to proceed to employment. If that is the case, Biner will keep the psychologist's report for the duration of the employment, primarily to be used in matching consulting assignments where personality is an important factor.
You can request at any time to receive an excerpt of all your personal data, and you can request at any time to have them deleted. In such cases, please contact our data protection officer, who can be reached at dataskydd@biner.se.
