Application conditions for open teacher-led courses #

Cancellation #

Registration is binding. If you cancel and rebook more than three weeks before the start of the course, 50% of the course fee will be charged. If canceled later than three weeks before the start of the course, the full amount of the course fee will be charged. Cancellations and transfers must be made in writing to academy@biner.se.

If a registered course participant has prevented and are unable to attend the course, the admission may be transferred to another person within the company, or alternatively rebooked to a later date. However, this may only be done after approval by Biner.

Set course #

Biner has the right to call of a course. Should this happen, the participant will be refunded by the paid contributions. Compensation beyond these costs is not paid.

Payment #

Biner invoices the course fee immediately upon notification.

No Show fee for seminars and breakfast lectures #

At Biner, we apply a No Show fee for non-attendance or cancellation later than 24 hours before the start of the seminar/breakfast lecture. This fee is SEK 450 and applies to all our seminars/breakfast lectures unless otherwise specified. You always have the opportunity to send a colleague in your place! In that case, please inform us of the name of the colleague at academy@biner.se before the start of the event. In this case, no no-show fee will be charged despite late cancellation.

Terms of purchase for e-learning courses #

1. General #

1.1. Trainees who fail to complete the training course or who do not pass the test exam will not be eligible for a refund.

1.2. The student must complete the course within six months of the start date. The start date is deemed to be the date that the student first has access to the self-study materials. When the six month period has lapsed it is possible to purchase an extension from Biner Academy at an additional cost.

2. Financial #

2.1. Biner Academy quotes prices and issues invoices in Euros (EUR) and Swedish Kronor (SEK) and United States Dollar (USD) only.

2.2. Any sales taxes relevant to the country will be added to the course fees in accordance with that country’s tax regulations.

2.3. The client must pay in full before the start of any training event or shipment of any product or course materials.

2.4 Payment may be made by recognised credit cards, which are Visa, Mastercard or AMEX.

2.5. Course fees include “TOGAF Version 9.1” as a pdf file and the unique Biner TOGAF 9.1 Study guide as a pdf file. Certification, printed course material and exam vouchers are charged in addition to this.

2.6. Biner Academy reserves the right to review the pricing and take appropriate action when changes to course or exam specification occur beyond our control.

2.7. All discounts, whether advertised or stated in correspondence, are mutually exclusive i.e. only one discount can be applied to any one booking.

3. E-learning materials

3.1. The training material is based on the Biner Academy TOGAF 9.1 Foundation training course.

3.2. The accredited course is based on original material produced by The Open Group – the originators of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF®).

3.3. Training material has been prepared, maintained, updated and distributed by Biner Academy, a company certified by The Open Group as a supplier of TOGAF® 9.1 Professional Services and TOGAF® 9.1 Accredited Courses. The Open Group Certification Mark Logo is a trademark of The Open Group

3.4. The use of the training material on this course is restricted to the Registered User who has been supplied with this course by Biner Academy. The use is limited to the duration of the training and the material remains the copyright of Biner Academy and The Open Group.

3.5. The Registered User shall not copy, use, modify, transmit, distribute, or in any way, exploit the copyrighted materials on this course other than for their own training. Use for any other purpose is expressly prohibited by law and any violators will be prosecuted.

3.6. The Registered User shall not permit anyone else to copy, use, modify, transmit, distribute, or in any way, exploit the copyrighted materials on this course.

3.7 Biner Academy reserves the right to terminate a purchased e-learning course with immediate effect if there is a suspicion that any of the points in these terms & conditions have been breached by the Registered User or another party.

3.8. The materials made available on this course are provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, either expressed, or implied, including, but not limited to, all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title or non-infringement.

3.9. Biner Academy does not warrant that the materials will be error free including technical inaccuracies, nor free of viruses, or other harmful matter. The entire cost of any necessary service, repair, or correction, is the Registered User’s responsibility.

3.10. Biner Academy may make improvements, or changes, to this material at any time without prior notification.

3.11. The Open Group is a trademark of The Open Group in the US and other countries. All other trademark, service marks and trade names in this material are the marks of the respective owners and any unauthorised use is prohibited.

3.12. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

3.13. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden.

3.14. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions you must cease to use the course material immediately.
